Bio
As a 27 year-old world traveler & musician, I aim to influence others to travel, give proper travel advising, travel planning & share my stories of trekking the world, in search of the often overlooked natural & man made wonders alike. I encourage others to blaze their own unique trail off the beaten path as well! As a sole mission, I shed light on the good, bad, ugly & beautiful within all of the places I visit while giving a personal perspective on some of the most popular and least popular tourist and adventure destinations around the world, giving insight into forgotten world traditions and supporting small business markets around the world!
Join my journey – After traveling to 9 countries and the 48 lower contiguous U.S. states, I plan to visit the remaining U.S. states and all of the countries in the world in the coming years while building community and finding ways to give back to those places.

Mission – “Take the Trek”
This travel blog is a simple start to a much larger adventure. 27-year-old singer-songwriter Kevin Gruen fell in love with traveling in his first years of college, having taken his first international trip to Québec, Canada while studying French. Ever since, Kevin has travelled 9 countries & the 48 lower contiguous U.S. states.
I use my traveling wisdom & knowledge to show some of the more overlooked, underrated and less visited places alike, dispelling myths about the “fringes” of society or documenting the troubles the world may also face outside of the bustling popular tourist meccas.
I’ve always said that I never wanted to solely travel the world to just stay in 5-star suites & isolate myself from a culture & people. I’d much rather travel and help others plan their travel adventures in a way which one’s immersed in a given culture. It’s important to give back more than you take everywhere you go! Why stay in a 5 star suite when you could budget less, stay with locals & truly immerse yourself societally with the intent of understanding the people?
How can we explore the natural and man-made wonders of the world alike while leaving little ecological trace & respecting the environments that we’re all a part of, rather than separating ourselves from it? The evidence has never been stacked higher on the benefits of being in nature & the positive effects it has on one’s mental & physical health.
Lastly, I aim to inspire others to take on their own journey to its’ highest potential, influencing others to also join the tourism industry i.e. AirBnb hosting, travel influencing, local guiding, nature photography or travel planning.
A prime personal antidote to how one may create a grassroots traveling career is how I turned my full-time career as musician into a traveling profession. I find it particularly inescapable and beneficial to my songwriting to take in new sights, smells & immersive experiences and live life to the fullest to be able to find the inspiration to write and put a pen to paper. No matter the circumstances one faces, I believe that it’s essential to live life to one’s fullest potential and inspire others to find that same capability in themselves!
